Laser Therapy is a method of providing treatment for illnesses or disorders by stimulating significant acupoints on the meridian pathway, using a thin needle like Laser beam.
The treatment aims to release or restore the flow of life-force energy, called Qi (pronounced Chi), in the body. It does not provide a cure, but certainly keeps the patient away from taking pain medications daily, throughout the day. Many patients can reduce pain meds and manage with less, since the laser treatments tend to give relief from pain over a longer period of time, when compared to the 4 hours that a general pain killer would last.
This form of therapy is popularly known as Low level Laser Therapy or LLLT.
Laser vs. needling techniques
Experts have noted many advantages to using laser over needling techniques. The following points may be taken into consideration,

Our Approach
We use Low-level laser therapy LLLT, a gentle and non-invasive treatment that stimulates specific points on the body with the laser point, saving the individual from experiencing pain and discomfort sometimes experienced with needling. This process relieves pain through both anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, using laser as the stimulus.

Laser Addiction Therapist
Ms. Pillay is a graduate of the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, having completed her Honours in the Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Therapy, and Psychology in 1986.
For the major part of her career, she worked at the Government schools and practiced privately as well. She also traveled to the UK and worked at the Department of Health in the United Kingdom.
Her interest and passion is Natural and Alternative Healing modalities of therapy, and she therefore decided, after her career in Speech Therapy and Audiology, to pursue her interest in Low Level Laser Therapy for healing in 2017. She especially traveled to Europe, Switzerland, to study Low Level Laser Therapy and it’s applications in the medical field with specific disorders such as tinnitus and hearing loss.
Her passion grew deeper when her work with the Low level Laser therapy entailed working at a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre in Johannesburg for two years. The results of treatments carried out with the laser turned out to be highly successful, with hundreds of patients reporting a significant reduction in their cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
Laser therapy, coupled with talk therapy and family mediation therapy, can help all addicts to successfully lead a drug free life. This is the aim of treatments at Laser for addicts.
Ms. Pillay trained in 2017 and brought the treatment of LLLT to SA thereafter. Her aim is to empower parents and role players that deal with children and teenagers suffering from the dreaded disease of drug addiction with healing solutions, especially addicts who are unable to afford Rehabilitative care, and have nowhere else to go seeking assistance
